The newly opened Leroy Merlin store in Wałbrzych marks another milestone for the brand in Poland – and another location where MAGO retail solutions have been successfully implemented. Designed with professionals, DIY enthusiasts, gardeners, and interior design lovers in mind, the store offers over 10,000 m² of retail space focused on comfort, inspiration, and shopping safety.
MAGO NX Pallet Racking System
At the core of this project is the MAGO NX pallet racking system. Originally designed for warehouse applications, the NX system also performs exceptionally well in retail environments. It allows for the integration of retail and storage areas – with the lower levels dedicated to product display and the upper levels used for bulk storage.
This dual functionality creates an efficient use of vertical space, essential in large-format retail environments like Leroy Merlin, and ensures that both visibility and accessibility of products are optimized.
Safety First in Retail Shelving
Safety is a top priority in every MAGO project. The NX shelving system complies with EN 15512 standards, and all load-bearing parameters are calculated during the design phase, incorporating required safety factors.
To assist store personnel and ensure compliance, load information is clearly labeled on the racking frames and beams, making daily operation safer and more convenient.
Lighting Zone with a Homely Feel
A standout area of this implementation is the lighting section, where despite the considerable ceiling height, we achieved a cozy and intimate atmosphere reminiscent of a home interior.
We achieved this effect by combining MEGA15 shelving systems with a custom-designed pergola structure. The MAGO R&D team meticulously engineered the pergola to meet durability and load requirements – proving that design and structural integrity can go hand in hand.
MAGO R&D routinely develops custom exterior shelving constructions, taking into account factors such as wind, snow load, and, where applicable, seismic conditions – ensuring long-term safety and stability in all environments.
Custom Display Accessories & End Caps Shelving
The MAGO NX system includes much more than just frames and beams – it’s a comprehensive solution for modern product merchandising. We designed a broad range of display accessories, including hooks, specialized brackets, and product-specific holders, tailored to Leroy Merlin’s merchandising needs.
These accessories support efficient and attractive product presentation, helping customers better engage with the product range and enhancing the overall shopping experience.
In a store offering over 40,000 SKUs, dynamic merchandising is essential. That’s why we introduced end caps shelving – modular, mobile displays ideal for seasonal products, promotional offers, or high-turnover items. These flexible units empower store teams to adapt layout and visibility with minimal effort.
